Aaron David Smith is an accomplished music educator, versatile performer, multi-instrumentalist, and published songwriter/composer. He holds a Master of Arts in Education and a music teaching credential from the University of Southern California, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University Northridge.

With over a decade of experience, Aaron is highly regarded for his expertise in both public education and private instruction. In the classroom he has taught a variety of subjects, including guitar, ukulele, band, and general music. His private teaching and formal studies encompass a wide range of instruments, including  guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, drums, trumpet, violin, and voice. Aaron has a specialized focus on popular music genres, contemporary songwriting, improvisation, and ear training. 

Beyond his commitment to education, Aaron is an active songwriter, composer, and performer. He writes and performs with his wife Rachel in their band SBDB, which plays an eclectic mix of covers and original material. Aaron also showcases his musical talent as a solo performer and as a backup musician for local artists and bands. Aaron brings a rich blend of knowledge, a deep passion for teaching, and a dynamic music making experience to every endeavor.
